BMW Split Years and Huf RDE008 / RDE012 TPMS Fitment

If you drive any of the following 2011 BMW models, you may encounter a "split year" issue regarding your TPMS sensors:
  • 1 Series
  • 5 Series
  • 7 Series
  • X5
  • X6
TPMS fitment depends on the production date of the 1, 5, 7, X5, and X6 models. You can locate the production date and vehicle identification number (VIN) on the vehicle placard on the door sill on the drivers side. What you're looking for is the month and year of production of your BMW vehicle. Please refer to the following for BMW split year TPMS fitment:

Built BEFORE 9/10 use Huf RDE008 TPMS sensors
Built ON or AFTER 9/10 use Huf RDE012 TPMS sensors
