What Does TPMS Do?

The tire pressure monitoring system is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside the tires of various types of vehicles. Pressure data is gathered, interpreted, and then relayed to the driver in real-time via a gauge, low pressure warning symbol (_!_), or through individual pressure readouts displayed on the vehicle's on-board computer.
A fully functioning tire pressure monitoring system has the potential to prevent the driver from getting into a vehicle accident due to severely under-inflated or over-inflated tires.
