Kia TPMS Sensors

Kia Motors: The Power to Surprise

Aggression can only be achieved if the pressure in each of the four tires is up to specification. This is why Kia uses TPMS sensors from major tire pressure sensor manufacturers: Huf, TRW, and Continental. The emphasis placed on an aggressive look and aggressive performance has caused Kia to also pay close attention to the smaller details of its vehicles. In 2006, Kia determined that car design would act as its "core future growth engine." Seeking a complete revamp of product models and styles, Kia hired Peter Schreyer in 2006 as Chief Design Officer. Schreyer had done significant work for Audi and Volkswagen in the past and was the recipient of the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. Schreyer is the man responsible for creating the "Tiger Nose" signature grille in 2009, with intention of creating a recognizable 'face' for the Kia brand. The push to make Kia a strong and distinctive motor company has worked wonders for the brand.

Kia was founded on June 9, 1944 and is South Korea's oldest car company. The company first started out as a manufacturer of steel tubing and hand crafted bicycle components. For the next few decades, Kia would expand its operations into Motorcycles (1950s), trucks (1960s), and cars in the early 1970s. Its wide array of affordable vehicles include: passenger cars, SUVs, vans, commercial vehicles, military vehicles, electric vehicles, and hybrid-electric vehicles. Kia's expansive product line can be found all Asia, Europe, and the United States. Kia declared bankruptcy in 1997 and a large, controlling percentage (51%) of the company was acquired by Hyundai Motor Company.
