Program TPMS Sensors In Your Own Garage

Are you looking to reset your vehicle's tire pressure monitoring system in the comfort of your own garage? Do you have a spare wheel and tire assembly that you plan on swapping for the track or for the summer/winter? The ATEQ VT30 TPMS IS Reader and ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset Tool may be the right tools for the job.

The ATEQ VT30 is a universal TPMS sensor decoder that can trigger TPMS sensors and obtain sensor IDs in a wide range of vehicles. The unique interface on the VT30 TPMS tool is simple to navigate and easy to use. The tool can display various pieces of data on screen including: sensor ID, tire pressure, battery status, temperature, accelerometer, and more. Data can also be transferred to a PC, in which results can be printed. The ATEQ TPMS sensor database is classified by car manufacturer and is constantly updated with new vehicle applications.

Please note: The VT30 can trigger TPMS sensors and obtain IDs in Domestic and European applications only. The VT30 can ONLY obtain sensor IDs in Asian makes. This issue is addressed below.

The ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset Tool is used to reset a vehicle's tire pressure monitoring system when replacing sensors or swapping tire sets.

The Quickset also comes with a "Swapping Tires" function, which assists you in tracking and recording the TPM sensor information after rotating tires. The Quickset downloads the IDs that are stored in your vehicle's ECU. The PC based software allows you to enter the IDs from your alternate set of tires into the Quickset. You must have your alternate set of IDs available (from a TPMS decoder tool such as the ATEQ VT30, provided by a garage, or on the sensor itself). Once the Quickset is updated with the alternate set of IDs, you are able to upload these to your vehicle's ECU through the OBDII port.

The Quickset is ideal for the DIY user. Connect the Quickset tool to your car through the OBDII diagnostic link connector under the dash on the driver's side and you'll be able to retrieve sensor codes from your wheels. Save these codes for a second set and the tool is enabled to switch between "winter" and "summer" wheels or "track" and "street."

The VT30 and Quickset can be used in conjunction to reset/trigger/program the tire pressure monitoring system on Asian vehicles. The VT30 can be used to obtain the sensor IDs from the vehicle. The sensor IDs are then entered into the PC based Quickset software. Once the Quickset is updated with the alternate set of IDs, you can upload the IDs into your vehicle's ECU through the OBDII port (the Quickset comes with an OBDII module).
